1. How long have you been working with Perigord?
I started in November 2017, so 2 years and 3 months.
2. What were your first impressions of the company?
The first time I visited Perigord the office was busy and buzzing. There was a great atmosphere and the people were all very friendly and professional with a diverse mix of talented individuals.
3. What is your role at Perigord?
I am a Key Account Manager
3a. What does a typical day look like for you?
There is no typical day for me. It can be spent working with clients that need additional services or liaising with Team Leads to find solutions to client issues which can arise. My role can involve travel to client sites for business review meetings and/or presentations. There are also occasions where I may need to visit our office in Hyderabad to meet the teams there or support audit activities.
4. What do you like most about your job?
I love working with different people who have different styles and I’m constantly learning on the job. There is so much to learn that every day is interesting. Each Client too has a different culture and I must adapt to understand and to provide information that suits them. The Pharmaceutical world is enormous, so I don’t see this changing anytime soon.
4a. What is your proudest moment so far at Perigord?
Since I have started working for Perigord as a Key Account Manager there have been so many successes and moments that I am proud of, that it’s difficult to single one out.
Any success which I’ve had at Perigord have been down to the efforts of many and so I can’t claim them for myself. I work with teams and really believe that we are all one team with a common set of goals.
5. What three words would you use to describe your role?
Varied, hectic, interesting.
6. What is your favourite song?
Rage Against the Machine – Know your Enemy
7. Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?
I have never listened to a Podcast and I don’t read books. I’ve tried to read but my mind wanders and when I get to the end of a chapter, I’ve no idea what I just read.
8. Do you have any interests or hobbies?
Music. I could not live without music.
I am a very keen mountain biker and love to be outside on hills and mountains on steep challenging trails and basically scaring the living daylights out of myself.
I also like walks through the centre of forests with my dog which I find relaxing.
9. What’s your favourite sport to watch and which team do you support?
I’ll watch any sport really. I like to see people compete against one another and how this drives them to be the best of the best. My team is Liverpool Football Club.
10. What is the best concert or show you ever attended?
That’s a very hard question.
I distinctly remember Prince in Cork in 1990 for his guitar playing, but I also had a ball at The Specials comeback gig in the Olympia in Dublin. The whole crowd just danced and jumped around for a full two hours.
Last years’ Forever Young festival was also amazing, as I got to see Bands and Artists that I never thought I would get to see.
Then there are the little gigs from Irish bands like Chewing on Tinfoil in Whelan’s or the Workman’s club that are also awesome and intimate.
I guess I don’t have a favourite gig, just memories from lots of varied and amazing music occasions.
