Job Application/Recruitment Data Protection Notice


Overview:


As part of any recruitment process, Perigord Life Science Solutions collects and processes personal data relating to job applicants. Perigord Life Science Solutions hereafter called the Company is committed to being transparent about how we collect and use that data and to meeting our data protection obligations. The purpose of this notice is intended to explain how your Personal Data will be handled by the Company. The information including the personal information detailed below relating to you ("Personal Data") that will be collected and processed by the Company where:


  • You apply for a speculative or advertised role within the Company (whether as an employee or non-employee).
  • A recruiter provides your Personal Data to the Company for employment consideration purposes.


This notice applies to all job applications submitted, and recruitment initiatives coordinated by the Company.

We may collect the following information:



  • The information you have provided to us in your curriculum vitae and covering letter.
  • Your name and contact details i.e. address, home and mobile phone numbers, email address.
  • Details about your qualifications such as your skills, education, certifications/qualifications, experience, employment history, length of your service, professional memberships, professional achievements, and interests the languages you speak (including your proficiency).
  • About when you may be available to interview and/or start work with the Company (i.e. your current notice period), information regarding your current or desired pay/benefit arrangements, information.
  • Any information you provide to us by email, telephone or during an interview.
  • Details of your referees.
  • Where applicable Information regarding your criminal record, in criminal records checks and credit history and any other data revealed during background screenings.
  • Your eligibility to work in a particular country (e.g. your nationality, residency, citizenship or visa details) and information from related documents, such as your passport or other identification and immigration information.
  • A copy of your driving licence (If relevant to the position you are applying for).
  • Details of any special assistance/support you would require if called for interview.
  • Your image on CCTV in common areas at Unit 1 Lyncon Court (where you attend our offices at any stage during the recruitment process).
  • Details you may provide us in response to our queries or questions at interview stage (including information about you which we generate throughout the interview and/or recruitment process).

 

How we collect the information?


We collect personal data about candidates from the following sources:


  • Data you the candidate submits in resumes/CVs, letters, or other written material.
  • Recruitment agency, third party placement firms or job search websites.

Who has access to data?


Your information may be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes members of the recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, relevant managers, if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

How is your data protected?


We take the security of your data seriously. We have internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by our employees in the proper performance of their duties.

How long is your data kept?


If your application for employment is unsuccessful, the organisation will hold your data on file for six months after the end of the relevant recruitment process. At the end of that period, your data is deleted or destroyed. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your employee record (electronic and paper based) and retained during your employment. The periods for which your data will be held will be provided to you in a new privacy notice.

Your rights:


As a data subject, you have several rights. You can:


  • access and obtain a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format on request.
  • require the organisation to change incorrect or incomplete data.
  • require the organisation to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing; and object to the processing of your data where the Company is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal ground for processing.

Your Responsibilities:


It is your responsibility to ensure that the Personal Data and information you provide to us is true and complete; any omissions or false information may result in the withdrawal of any offer of employment made to you or, if you have been hired, disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
