1. How long have you been working with Perigord?
4 and half years
2. What is your role at Perigord?
Director of Client Services
3. How would you describe your role here in Perigord?
I am responsible for all Client engagement for our software division at Perigord. Which ranges from initial sales meetings and product demonstrations, through to software implementations and then into support and account management. I really enjoy my role, I have a great team to work with and working directly with our customers is very fulfilling. No day is ever the same and there are always plenty of new challenges to keep me busy!
4. What is your proudest accomplishment?
My children.
5. COVID 19 has meant significant change to the way we live. What has been the biggest challenge for you during this pandemic? Have you taken up any new hobbies or interests?
The adjustment to working from home has not been too tough, as I used to work from home in previous roles, so that did not take getting much used to. The main things have been the limited travel options, having to be careful when out shopping and the lack of social interaction with family and friends beyond my household has been a challenge at times. Not being able to go to the gym has meant that I got my bike out of the shed and regularly get out on my bike, which has been a great way to exercise and let off after a days work.
6. What is the one thing you are most looking forward to once this pandemic has ended?
Being able to go to a restaurant or pub and have an evening out with friends again.
7. Is there something which you have seen recently, that made you smile?
I would say my children make me smile every day.
8. Can you tell us a little about where you live? Did you grow up here?
I live down in Co Wexford, known as the Sunny South East of Ireland. We are very rural, but near some great beaches, which are nice to walk on and spend some time on when the weather is good. I grew up in the UK, in a town called Bracknell, then lived in a number of different places; Newcastle, London and Brighton, before moving to Ireland.
9. What is your favourite type of food?
Italian food, I have Italian family and lots of fond memories of meals in Italy, so it would always be my favourite cuisine.
10. Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Coffee – hands down, if I get beyond 9am and have not had a coffee, people will know about it!
11. What was the last book you read?
Grease Monkey by Edd China, good read for someone who likes to get handy with a spanner!
