2.What is your role at Perigord?
I am The Global Commercial Director- Working with and leading a team of dedicated and experienced professionals my responsibilities include – Market and New product development, Marketing and Bid management
3.How would you describe your role here in Perigord?
I get to work across all areas of the business and with people in different functions and Geographies, so I would define my role as exciting, verified and fast paced, no day is the same.
4.What is your proudest accomplishment?
There has been a number of achievements that come to mind, but the first thing that stands out and that makes me most proud, is the recognition the team are getting for their work , yes that is what makes me most proud
5.COVID 19 has meant significant change to the way we live. What has been the biggest challenge for you during this pandemic? Have you taken up any new hobbies or interests?
In the early days I thought working from home was going to be a challenge but in fact I am surprised how much I have adapted and how much more productive I have become. I haven’t taken up any new hobbies or interests but have found that without distraction I have more time to spend on my running and painting.
6.What is the one thing you are most looking forward to once this pandemic has ended?
Knowing that if I wanted to I could get on a plane and fly to my favourite place, the Island of Korcula in Croatia- Oh and a haircut
7.Is there something which you have seen recently, that made you smile?
A young couple living close to us just had a new baby girl, seeing the pride on their face was really magical and made me smile
8.Can you tell us a little about where you live? Did you grow up here?
I have lived in my current home for 24 years it is 25 minutes from the office in the Dublin suburbs of Leixlip, it’s a not big but is surround by country side parks and rivers “ I love it”. I didn’t grow up here but it is the longest I have lived in one place so I have to say it is home
9.What is your favourite type of food?
My family laugh but I love simple Greek salad - AND CRISPS with DIET COKE
10.Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
A Run– the thought of a run – I run every second day
11.What was the last book you read?
1984 by George Orwell
