1. How long have you been working with Perigord?
I joined Perigord on the 27th October 2015. That is exactly 4 years, 8 months and 20 days.
2. What is your role at Perigord?
Currently I’m Assistant Team Lead.
3. How would you describe your role here in Perigord?
In a few words I help manage daily production within the team, run projects and meet customer expectations.
Luckily in my position I get the chance to interact with different departments, get to talk to people, resolve issues and learn a bunch of things along the way. Communication is key and so far I haven’t had major complaints, so I believe I’m doing things right and that is always a good sign.
4. What is your proudest accomplishment?
I couldn’t just have one proudest accomplishment as I believe that one leads to the next.
Therefore, my root to this is to be true to myself. Our actions speak louder than a thousand words and I’ve been lucky enough to have someone every step of the way in my life watching my actions. That is what led me here today.
5. COVID 19 has meant significant change to the way we live. What has been the biggest challenge for you during this pandemic? Have you taken up any new hobbies or interests?
Beside not being able to practice swimming, it didn’t change much.
The biggest challenge for me was to separate my work hours from non-working hours. It took quite some time for me to manage my time better.
I would say I had my hands full moving to my new apartment and even though everything was closed my wife and I managed to have a smooth transition.
6. What is the one thing you are most looking forward to once this pandemic has ended?
I try not to plan anything further than 6 months ahead but as we don’t know when this all be over, I’m definitely planning to spend some quality family time in Brazil next year whenever possible. I’m totally homesick.
7. Is there something which you have seen recently, that made you smile?
Just to be able to wake up is already something to smile for.
One thing recently though is to hear “thank you”, from someone you never met before because of a selfless act.
8. Can you tell us a little about where you live? Did you grow up here?
I’m proud to say that I made Dublin my home, my wife and I moved to our apartment recently and it’s great. Close to the city centre and Phoenix park, a bit of both worlds.
Brazil is where I grew up and lived until I was 20 years old. Small city (for Brazilian standards) called Bauru.
9. What is your favourite type of food?
Any food is my favourite type, but I can’t deny my Italian roots, I can’t say ‘no’ to pasta!
As long as I have something to eat I’m the happiest man alive. So apologises in advance for the bad things I’ll say when I’m hungry.
10. If you could only have three apps on your smartphone, which would you pick?
Spotify, Whatsapp and Google maps. They help me so much.
11. What is your favourite movie?
I don’t really have a favourite movie but I do love some action. To me the best action movie I’ve seen so far with a lot of graphic novels reference is “John Wick”.
Great world with awesome characters and full of action developed by long hours of training by the cast. I could watch it over and over.
