1. How long have you been working with Perigord?
I started working with Perigord in October 2012, so seven and a half years. That went fast!
2. What were your first impressions of the company?
It seemed an exciting place. It was very cosmopolitan, lots of different accents in the building!
Close your eyes in the canteen and it was like being surrounded by hundreds of people in a bustling airport terminal.
3. What is your role at Perigord?
I’m a Team Lead with Perigord.
4. What does a typical day look like for you?
Nothing like the previous and absolutely nothing like the next!
5. What do you like most about your job?
My work colleagues, the people in Perigord are great to work with.
6. What is your proudest moment so far at Perigord?
Not knocking anything over when walking around the canteen, with my eyes closed, pretending I’m in that airport terminal!
7. What three words would you use to describe your role?
Busy. Busy. Busy.
8. What is your favourite song?
Mmmm that’s a tough one ……! Ok it’s ‘Sympathy for the Devil’, by The Rolling Stones.
I love the way it builds up. I often play it when I’m on my own in the car and “Oh Oh” away happily to myself. If you’re familiar with the song, you’ll know what I mean. If not check it out!
9. Your top 3 favourite Podcasts/Books?
Any of Dan Carlin’s Podcasts (History), The Guardian Football Weekly Podcast.
My favourite book is the book I am reading at the time, which is currently ‘The Vietnam War’, by Max Hastings.
10. Do you have any interests or hobbies?
Fairly typical one’s; reading, films and I try to walk as often as I can, which I find good for catching up on Podcasts.
11. What’s your favourite sport to watch and which team do you support?
We’re in the middle of the Covid-19 Crisis when writing this, so there isn’t much sport to watch.
When I do; its football, rugby, golf and GAA (Gaelic Football).
My favourite football team has been and always will be the mighty Manchester United!
12. What’s your favourite TV show—the one you’re always watching on repeat?
Apologies if you’ve never heard of it, but it’s probably the most Irish TV show ever, ‘Father Ted’!
Gets funnier every time I watch it.
13. What is the best concert or show you ever attended?
Easy question!
David Bowie, Point Depot, Dublin in 2003. He was filming the concert for a DVD, so there was lighting on in the theatre for the whole show.
Everyone in the building was totally up for it and he played for over 3 hours.
Absolutely brilliant!
