People of Perigord

Jason O'Halloran

Key Account Manager

Perigord Dublin, Ireland

1. How long have you been working with Perigord?

I have been with Perigord since September 2020, so just coming up to my third month.

2. What is your role?

I am a key account manager based within the software division working with our Life Sciences companies.

3. How would you describe a typical workday?

Busy, exciting, and variable. You really do not know what you are going to encounter daily which I really love. We usually have a team huddle (virtually of course) in the morning and then you could be in ongoing training, business development, team meetings and making sure our current clients are happy and content with the solution and service we provide. My role also requires troubleshooting any issues that may arise and offering advice and direction to clients. I’m hoping that once this current challenge with COVID ends, I will have an opportunity to go and meet some of the clients I work with, face to face, as I’ve only had virtual meetings to date.

4. What is your proudest professional accomplishment?

Going back to University at night 3 years ago and completing my diploma and degree.

5. What advice would you give to recent new entrants to the company?

Be proud you have joined a great organisation. Now, it is tough with us having to work from home and training online, but do not let that phase you, there is a great team there to support you. Keep in contact with your clients and make sure they are happy and help where is necessary.

6. What is the most courageous thing you have done in your life?

Went on my own to live and work in Australia a few years back glad I did it!

7. If you could meet anyone, living or dead - who would it be and why?

Michael Collins I would love to ask him about the rising, the agreements made with the British and what he thinks of Ireland today.

8. Have you anything planned over the Christmas period?

Firstly, relax what a year its been! I will head up to my mom's for dinner and then go see the in laws down in Galway for a few days!

9. Will you make any New Year resolutions for 2021?

10. It is fair to say, that 2020 will be a year that many of us will not forget! Looking back on 2020, what is your most memorable moment?

12. Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

A coffee first thing in the morning! Listening to music and spending time with herself!
