People of Perigord

Greg Howe

Production Operator
Perigord Connecticut, U.S.

1. How long have you been working with Perigord?
I started in early March 2020, right before the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world.

2. What is your role at Perigord, can you tell us about it?
I am a Production Operator supporting the release of pharma packaging & labelling, globally.

3. What is a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
In the short while I have been on board, building strong working relationships with my colleagues.

4. Can you tell us a little about where you live? Did you grow up here?
I have lived in Connecticut for 20 years. I was born & raised in Wisconsin, then lived in Colorado for nearly 10 years before moving here.

5. Have you any staycations planned over the coming months?
I recently traveled to Acadia National Park in Maine, where I went camping for a long weekend. I have another weekend planned for the Adirondacks Park in upstate New York, later this month.

6. What’s one item you can’t leave your house or apartment without?
I’m guessing most everyone leaves with their phone, wallet & keys. So next would be my Yeti® Tumbler travel mug filled with coffee, water or another beverage depending on when/where I am headed.

7. Do you have any hobbies or interests?
I have many outdoor interests including cycling (both road & mountain), hiking, camping, sea kayaking, skiing (alpine & Nordic), snowshoeing and occasionally I golf and fish. I enjoy doing all these activities to fill my time.

8. What’s one of your favourite memories from the past year?
My daughter graduated from high school this past spring and is now living in Florida studying at college. I am incredibly proud of how she handled these life events at such a challenging time.

9. What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?
Such a difficult question as there are so many… having Irish heritage, Ireland has always been very high on my list. But if I had to choose one today, Tuscany region of Italy.

10. If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza.

10. What are you most looking forward to when this pandemic is over?
  • Feeling safe with no travel restrictions
  • Watching sports with fan-filled stadiums
  • Enjoying live music
