1. How long have you been working with Perigord?
I still can’t believe that I’m going to celebrate my second work anniversary with Perigord in two months. I’ve been with Perigord for a year and ten months. I started working for Perigord immediately after completing my Masters. Every day of the last two years has passed by in the blink of an eye, however I still feel like I only joined yesterday!
2. What were your first impressions of the company?
I remember the day I came to Perigord for an interview with other students from my University. We looked at the surroundings and noticed that everyone was busy, and that the environment appeared quite energetic and cool. I liked the way everyone sat together without any barriers. It showed me the equality and gave me an impression that employees and management were friendly and approachable.
3. What is your role at Perigord?
I work in the Human Resources Department as a HR Administrator. I work with all Perigord employees here in Hyderabad, on a variety of employee related issues, which keeps me busy all the time. My duties are not just confined to one thing. I get involved in recruitment, time and attendance, annual leave, employee visas, documentation, employee queries and provide daily support to Jaya (HR Manager). Also, the HR team regularly organise and coordinate Friday fun sessions, festival celebrations and team building activities, so my role also requires creative planning and organisational skills.
4. What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is a new day for me, as there will be several new things I have to do. I aim to get all my work done by the end of the day. I usually start my day with a cup of coffee/tea and then make a note of all my tasks for the day. If there’s anything urgent, I go and talk to the concerned person directly, which gives me a greater understanding of the issue and our employees. Also, many people will come and sit with us to chat during the break times. So, it’s not just a simple workday for us, it involves many things.
5. What do you like most about your job?
Interacting and working with many people. I am not confined to working in one area. Also, I’m the kind of a person who likes to dig deep. Fortunately, my job requires me to do in depth research on many things. This helps me find the perfect way to complete my work and increases my knowledge. That’s what I like most.
6. What is your favourite movie?
Hmmm! I’m not really the kind of person to stick to one genre/one movie. Whenever I see a good movie, that will stay as my favourite until the next one 😉. So, my current favourite movie is, “Bad Boys for Life.”
7. What is your favourite song?
“Los Dias Raros”, by Vetusta Morla and Voodoo Doll by 5SOS. Mostly, I like the songs with high pitch voices and guitar sounds.
8. Do you have any interests or hobbies?
I like adventures and I go for trekking with friends when I have free time.
9. What’s your favourite TV show—the one you’re always watching on repeat?
“La casa de papel” – I love how a single person manages to keep different kinds of people together and get things done perfectly and always does the unexpected. Also, whenever I’m on short breaks and in need of some fun time, I choose to watch a few episodes of “Goblin”.
10. What is your favourite type of food?
Anything that’s spicy with chicken in it and the food that my mom cooks.
11. How would your friends/family describe you in three words?
Foody, independent and open minded.
